Amarillo, TX – Two people died following a motorcycle accident Friday evening in Amarillo, according to the police.
The deadly accident happened around 6:04 p.m. on April 3 in the area of 54th Avenue and South Bell Street.
Police said a motorcycle was traveling northbound when it collided with a pickup truck that was turning eastbound onto 54th Avenue.
The motorcycle rider, Steven Tobias Guzman, 57, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The motorcycle passenger, Debbie Michelle Guzman, 50, later died from injuries sustained in the accident.
The driver and passenger in the pickup sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
The Amarillo Police Department’s Traffic Investigation Squad is investigating the accident.

A Chevy Silverado and the motorcycle were traveling at a high rate of speed when the motorcycle struck the passenger side door of the truck.
The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
A passenger on the motorcycle was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
A passenger in the white truck was taken to the hospital.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
